Guilan as a rich province has been located in the Northern part of the Islamic Republic of Iran and beside the Caspian Sea, the largest lake in the world; it has been surrounded with few other Iranian provinces and is 280 km. far from Tehran the Capital of country. Guilan is a tourist province and is visited by millions of Iranians and Non-Iranians annually; and for the reasons of pleasant weather, high minded experts and hard-working people, this talented province has been progressive in the fields of agriculture, industry and is strong in terms of domestic and international trades.

Rasht is the provincial center of Guilan and the location of the permanent fairground. Rasht is a cultural city having so far fostered outstanding talents. This modern megalopolis is the nearest city to the Russian Astarakhan Port and CIS countries; no doubt that most of the international trade fairs being held in Rasht shall be visited by numerous buyers from Tehran, the surrounding towns, other provinces and CIS countries.

In the 21st. Century, youngsters of Guilan have tended towards the post-industrial sciences, electronic, electro-mechanic and information and communications technologies and are eager to be more familiar with the world’s latest inventions and innovations; they also would like to be equipped with the advanced tools and knowledge of this progressive era; this smart generation along with the inhabitants interested in other groups of commodities are the visitors of the Rasht international specialized trade fairs. Further, it should be mentioned that Rasht Fair as a customer oriented organization is continuously trying to do its jobs on the basis of R&D, plan and program; trained staff of this fair organization do their missions so accurate that most of the exhibitors leave the fairground satisfied and happy; on the other words it can be claimed that choosing effective exhibitions to be held in Rasht Permanent Fairground is the main strategy of the Guilan International Exhibitions Company. Our development plan in the very near future shall be the establishment of 4 great halls in the widespread land anticipated to be the new site of the province enabling us to be the host of more internal and international exhibitions organizers, exhibitors, visitors and journalists from Iran and other countries.
Economic structure: Guilan is an agricultural, industrial and post-industrial province.

 

Trade: commercial activities of the province are national and international; Guilan is doing business with the most countries; some export items of Guilan are: raisin, date, tomato paste, construction materials, silk, cement, fish, garments and few kinds of electrical industries and its import items are : food processing machinery and consumer electronics. Rasht is the main city of Guilan; the population of Rasht is 915,000.00.
City of Rasht has been known, registered and announced as the “ World Food City” by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in 2015.
